Students in Briar Middle School 8th Grade English Language Arts teacher Korrine Capizzi's class collaborated in groups to create their own "Perfect World" based on the novel The Giver by Lois Lowry.

The Board of Education showed some love for a Perkins neighbor, whose actions prevented monstrous damages at Briar Middle School.

The program will expose more children to the arts and inspire creativity and confidence within children who participate.

The spaces have been closed to students, and music classes are being taught in alternative classrooms.

Approximately 80,000 gallons of water spilled from the line. Briar will reopen for classes on Friday.
